We have continued to improve our augmented MIDI saxophones. We have finally updated the soprano versions of the augmented EMEO and YDS, featuring a more refined design and enhanced functionality.

We have created the EWI-Re-trumpet by transforming the Artinoise re.corder into a trumpet-style instrument and integrating additional MIDI capabilities through our augmentation kit. The system now includes a bite sensor, pitch-bend control, a portamento pad, and multiple assignable MIDI buttons, expanding expressive control and performance flexibility.

We have transformed the Artinoise re.co rder into an expressive digital MIDI soprano saxophone, which we named the Sop-Reco-Phone. This innovation is founded on our technology and expertise with MIDI augmentation kits. The Soprecophone is a fully modified re.corder transformed into a complete digital soprano saxophone. This instrument combines custom engineering, advanced MIDI functionality, and expressive wind control performance in a compact and lightweight design. Core D

The installation and functionality of the bite sensor have been improved. We utilized a more sensitive and precise joystick switch for pitch bending and positioned the pitchbend optimally on the EMEO. The saxophone bell decoration is also more realistic.

Throughout the year, we have tested our augmentation kit and worked on enhancing its functionality. We have developed an improved design for the bite sensor, which is now completely waterproof and has a long lifespan. Previously, the pitch bend was jumpy, but we have now made it very smooth and accurate by using a high-quality joystick switch. We also found the best location of the pitch bend on the EMEO. On the first Sunday worship service of the new year, I had the honor of presenting a musical dedication during the mission fundraising commitment time in support of our overseas missionaries.
